Lore: The Nephalix Monkeys lived in the abyss for so long, the abyss grew tired of them and spat them back out. Now they leap from peak to peak with their bony wings, tossing unfortunates down the cliffs to spite the rocks below, laughing all the while. The laughter carries far in the Bergen Chrypt cold.
What "the abyss" is — the cracks SHE crawled out of, the deeper pit beneath the peaks, the same realm the Nephalix (the Cult Feretory faction, if same root) belong to — is a CANON CHECK. The shared "Nephalix" name across two sources may be the same root mythology or coincidence.
