Endless Sea

Many have ploughed the wave's furrow in search of new lands, surrounded by the Endless Sea to the north, south, and known new lands. They all return, against their will. Alive or dead.

Misery 4:5 reads: "Behold now the Endless Sea, where Leviathan causes waves to be as mountains." Misery 4:6: "And Leviathan shall come among you."

The Múr separates the peninsula of Grift from the rest of the world, opening onto the Endless Sea. The cliff Terion drops a thousand meters to its base. The heretic isle of Crëlut lies two nautical miles east of Grift. The Pale One (origin 1) may have been caught by fishermen on the Endless Sea. The Fanged Deserter (origin 2) may have lived on "a derelict rotting ship rolling endlessly across a grey sea."

The horn of a beelzebubonic creature from the deepest depths of the Endless Sea fashions a Sacrilegious Songbird's instrument — the Devil's Aquifer — which fills enemy lungs with seawater.

Adventure seeds: "Onboard a ship on the Endless Sea" (11). "A strange ship ran aground" (83–84). "Talk of an unexplored island" (51–52). "Sailor too long at sea" (16) is a quest-giver type.

Gaps / Expansion Notes

Leviathan is named only in the Misery Table. The "beelzebubonic creature from the deepest depths" of the Songbird's horn is canonical but undefined. No port cities are named besides Grift. The east-of-Grift expanse holds Crëlut and apparently more.
