The Derelict Mill
A boarded-up mill in or near Galgenbeck. Recently inherited by the alchemist Nagel Krat from his father (and victim) Urvan Krat. Inside, Nagel discovered an enormous contraption labeled The Goblin Grinder along with a stash of alchemical supplies — and built a scheme: get corpses from gravedigger Qarg, feed them into the Grinder, produce living goblins that infest Galgenbeck, sell a fake "Goblin Cure" at a steadily-rising price.
Four floors plus a basement:
- Barricade & Cannonball (1a–1b) — crude trash-wall barricade and a cannon aimed at the entrance, manned by giggling goblins
- Basement — Urvan Krat's body, a spare Grinder key in his boot
- Fire! Fire! (2) — three archer goblins with flaming arrows and one bucket-of-oil goblin
- Laboratory (3) — boiling alchemy tables and an Alchemical Ooze
- The Goblin Grinder (4) — the device itself, fed by key, fuel, and one human corpse
The mill connects to Medickal Shoppe (Nagel's storefront in Galgenbeck) where the fake Cure is sold.

Who originally built the Goblin Grinder — and labeled it — is unwritten. The mill is "near Galgenbeck" implicitly; its precise location is open. Urvan Krat's poisoning assassin is unidentified in canon.
