Alliáns

A storm-piercing spire-city of black glass at the northern reach of Kergüs, where the wind is born. Within stands a castle like a waterfall of white stone — the throne of Blood-Countess Anthelia. She is pale as her castle's walls, youthful as a drop of melting ice. Some say she is eternally young.

The gulls cry the names of Knights who sought her hand, a reminder that suitors and signs of Anthelia's age disappear in conjunction. Court life entails grey opulence, excitement, and fear. Old frozen ruins lie not far from Alliáns — possibly home to one origin of the Occult Herbmaster (origin 6).

The Heretical Priest (origin 2) may be a sole survivor of a massacred Alliáns cult. The Pale One (origin 4) may have fallen from the sky near Alliáns. The Sacrilegious Songbird (origin 6) may have struck their bargain minutes from freezing to death on the way to Alliáns.

Adventure seeds: "in the centre of Alliáns" one risks one's life.

Gaps / Expansion Notes

The court itself — its ranks, its rituals, the names of the knights who disappeared — is open. The "massacred Alliáns cult" implies recent Inquisitorial action far from Galgenbeck. The spire-city's plan and the white-stone castle inside it are wholly undescribed.
