Nameless Scriptures
In the year 565 a monk of the Creton Order named Anuk Schleger encountered the basilisk Verhu and set down what the creature whispered to him. The texts were lost. Three centuries later, while orthodox masons of the Two-Headed Basilisks broke ground for a new Cathedral, they uncovered Schleger's tomb and the writings with it. Since then every event in the Scriptures has come to pass. They are absolutely, factually true and have supplanted all other Scripture. Around the Cathedral grew Galgenbeck, the greatest city that ever was.
The Scriptures are now read as the Calendar of Nechrubel — seven Psalms counting down to the world's death at 7:7.

Schleger's tomb itself is undescribed — likely beneath the Cathedral foundations. The original lost-and-rediscovered manuscript is undescribed; any surviving copies, the fate of heretical translations, and what the orthodox branch did to the older Creton order after the find are all expansion seeds.
