The sad-but-gaudy city of the Western Kingdom. Its secret citadel houses King Fathmu IX, who schemes there paranoid, fat, and mad.
The Fanged Deserter (origin 3) may have lived in "a brothel in Schleswig — quite a friendly environment." The Occult Herbmaster (origin 4) may come from the illegal midnight markets of Schleswig. The Heretical Priest (one origin point) tunnels through its alleys. The Sacrilegious Songbird (origin 5) may have made their deal in a Schleswig prison cell. The surviving Klopstock family member lives here, paying 1000 silver for a ring brought from the Sepulchre of the Swamp Witch — five times the usual asking price.
