A city now beneath the sea. One origin of the Forlorn Philosopher is to have been "Südglans' most revered philosopher — which sank into the sea and now everyone ruthlessly mocks you."

When Südglans sank, how, who survived besides the mocked philosopher, and whether anything still lives down there is all unwritten. The naming convention (German Süd-glans, "south-shine"?) sets it geographically vague — south of the main map? An exiled colony? Open seed.
