Nechrubel

The shadow that covers all. Nechrubel is melancholy, crop failure, conflict, and war. It is said he whispered the apocalyptic prophecies into Verhu's ear. The arch-priestess Josilfa Migol is rumored to collude with him, and to have been granted eternal life in exchange.

The end times take his name: the Calendar of Nechrubel counts down to the world's silence.

His underlings include Daejmon, the left underling, who sunders the Veil at Misery 6:6 so the unnamed may enter the earth.

The clergy of Nechrubel is not the Two-Headed Basilisks — they worship Verhu — though the two faiths share the same forecast. Whether Nechrubel has his own priesthood or moves only through whispers and famine is left to the GM.

Gaps / Expansion Notes

Nechrubel's form, his cult, his right underling (only the left is named), and the nature of his bargain with Josilfa are all blank. Death-obsessed cultists (see Death Ziggurat) seek the Shimmering Fields without naming Nechrubel directly — possible expansion linking him to that afterlife.
