Creatures

Long & Angry Flesh Worm

found inside the belly of the beast

No standalone stat block. Encountered when a hunter butchers a kill and finds it inside.

Special: A second-stage parasite. Its spawn (entry 3 of the same table) is sometimes still alive — "One of its spawn. Still alive perhaps?"

Lore: Some part of every hunt in EPK risks pulling one of these out of the carcass before the cook gets to the meat. Long. Angry. Distinctly its own creature. The flesh worm did not come from outside the beast; the beast simply hosted it long enough to grow it. Whether the worm killed the beast or merely outlived it is a butcher's-table debate.

Gaps / Expansion Notes

Stats are absent — the EPK belly-table provides flavor, not combat values. Whether the long-and-angry flesh worm is a single recurring species or a class of parasites is open. Its spawn (entry 3) suggests reproduction within hosts. Compare to Gutworm (a much larger, sentient parasitic boss from Rotblack Sludge) — likely a smaller cousin, but unconfirmed.
